Immerse yourself in the culture and pageantry of the Ryukyu Dynasty at one of Naha’s greatest festivals

The Shurijo Castle Festival, which typically takes place at the end of October, evokes the spirit of the ancient Ryukyu Kingdom. See gorgeous costumes designed on the attire worn by Ryukyu nobles at the Ryukyu Dynasty Emaki Gyoretsu Parade on Kokusai Street or at the Koshiki Gyoretsu Parade in Shuri. Visitors can also enjoy Ryukyu music and dance performances at Shurijo Castle Park, illuminated with over 6000 lights.
