Gaze into the boundless heavens filled with stars on Ishigaki Island, a paradise for stargazing

Stars fill the night sky on Ishigaki Island, parts of which are certified as an International Dark Sky Park by the International Dark-Sky Association. Enjoy evening concerts while stargazing at the Southern Island Star Festival, where town lights are turned down so visitors can more easily enjoy the constellations. Satisfy your scientific curiosity by touring the meteorological observatory and participate in guided stargazing events. The festival is usually held in August.
