Subtropical forests, mangrove trees, and coral reefs compose Yanbaru, the wild northern region of Okinawa, much of which is within the boundaries of Yambaru National Park. The timeless beauty of this land and its connection to the people of Okinawa can be sensed through modern art, design, music, and movies at the Yambaru Art Festival. See traditional island fabrics, ceramics, and other works of art by Japanese and international artists, and join workshops to experience Okinawan art and local crafts.
